FAMILY…
The first thing I’d like to share with you is the passing of my mother-in-law, Evelyn, this past September. My wife Susan was of course deeply affected by this. Susan and her mother had a wonderful relationship, one that I always admired. And Eveyln became my “mom” when my own mother passed away back in 2000. Definitely, I was so very blessed to have Evelyn as my mother-in-law…and mom. I too miss her.

SUBSCRIBER SPECIAL: STOCKING STUFFERS!
Ready for Christmas? It’s a bit early to ask that question isn’t it? I think so too. I remember when I was a kid that the advertising and decorating for this holiday didn’t start until around December 15th. Things sure have changed!
Well, I’m mentioning it early so you have plenty of time to order and receive gift CD’s. Every year I offer my CD’s for the special price of $7.50 each – that’s 1/2 price! – so you can buy a bunch to give as Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers. This has become quite a popular offering and I truly appreciate my fans taking advantage of this deal to help spread my music among their family and friends.
You can order these gift CD’s by going to http://www.michaelmucklow.com/giftorder.html on my web site. You can pay by credit card or money order. The payment service is provided by PayPal and is a very secure way to order – you do NOT need to join PayPal to place an order.
I guarantee that you will receive the CD’s in time for gift giving. Be sure to order early and as many as you’d like. This offer ends on December 15, 2007.

NEXT CD NEWS
Yes, there’s another CD under way! Matter of fact more than half the songs are nearly completed. September and October were busy with other events so I will get back to recording sometime in November. For now the scheduled release is for early 2008. The title of this new album is “2nd Groove” and the songs are in the Smooth Jazz style with light Latin flavorings, similar to “Moonlight Sands” and “Sunlit Mesas” from the ‘Clearly’ CD. As the songs near completion I will put up a 2nd Groove web page on my site so you can hear the tunes before they’re released.

WASHINGTON MINI-TOUR
My trip up to Washington was great, although not as busy as I had intended. Because we needed to travel to and from New Mexico several times during September, Susan and I didn’t get the opportunity to book additional performances. But that did not take away from the Snoqualmie performances/CD signings being a wonderful time. It was nice going into a new area to share my music – I had been looking forward to doing this for quite a while. I have to say that the folks in Snoqualmie made this an experience well worth having and remembering. Nearly everyone in the audience(s) purchased CD’s and quite a few signed up for this newsletter…thank you Snolqualmie!
On the way back through Portland I had the opportunity to visit with Jonathan Lee, the designer and owner of Walden Guitars (http://www.waldenguitars.com). I own several Walden’s which have become my favorite performance and recording acoustic guitars. (You can visit my artist page on the Walden Guitars web site, http://www.waldenguitars.com/artists/mucklow.html, to read why I like them.)

HELP PROMOTE THE CD/MUSIC
Word of mouth advertising is so important to what I do. Most of my CD sales come as a result of YOU telling your friends and family about my music.
There are other things you can do to help me promote my music, too. Here are some examples:
iTUNES users please rate and review my albums on iTunes. You’ll find links to both of them at http://tinyurl.com/2nepv9. The higher rating I can get by a larger number of people, the more likely it is the CD will turn up when other people are searching for related music on iTunes.
On Amazon, I could use some reviews for my CD’s. Here’s the ‘Clearly’ product page: http://tinyurl.com/2krdco, and the ‘The View From Here’ product page; scroll down to about middle of the pages where you’ll find the Customer Reviews section.
Thank you so much for your help!
